Working Drawings
Working Drawings & Detailing
Working Drawings are a comprehensive set of drawings created to assist the builder, sub-contractors and manufacturers with the construction of the building. These are often required for larger and/or more complicated projects.
Construction & Building Design has experience creating Working Drawings for large, high-end projects in both the residential and commercial sectors.
Working Drawings vary from project to project, but typically are made up of:
- Location drawings which indicate how aspects of the building will be laid out on site
- Detailed drawings of various components of the building, showing how they are to be constructed and fitted together with other components.
- Shop drawings which instruct individual manufacturers how their contributions are to be fabricated; for example windows, structural steel members and cabinetry
